Margörit Rita Krespi Ülgen

She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in psychological counseling and guidance and clinical psychology. After completing her PhD in health psychology at the University of Liverpool, she received her associate professorship in applied psychology in 2011. As of 2017, she has worked as a professor of applied psychology at several foundation trust universities. She is still working at a foundation trust university.

She lived in the UK between 1993-2008.

Between 1993 and 2004, she worked in many institutions in the UK, including hospitals and universities. During this period, she provided therapy, counseling, psychoeducation and rehabilitation services to children, adolescents, adults, people with learning disabilities, people diagnosed with chronic physical illnesses such as cancer and diabetes. In addition, she has provided consultancy and supervision to other psychologists about the neuropsychological characteristics of acquired cognitive disability, and consultancy and training to other health professionals such as nurses and dietitians about the psychological processes of chronic physical illnesses. She has conducted both academic studies and interventions especially in the field of psycho-oncology.
